Clash of Clans: Reception in The Gaming Community
Clash of Clans for PC ranks amongst the most popular online games today. The iOS version of the game has got a score of 74 out of 100 on the website Metacritic that ranks and rates movies, music albums, DVDs, movies, TV shows and books. The game has received an 80 out of 100 score at Gamerankings, another review and rating website.

Gamezebo Review
Gamezebo is a more prominent website in the review area and the critic of the website Leif Johnson gave the game a score of 4.5 out of 5. The one drawback of the game, according to Johnson, was that the game heavily favors the purchase of gems by the players. But he also finds that the single-player game additions as one major delight. He said that the game’s simplicity was its strength and not its weakness. The game can be played easily and rather quickly on the iPhone. It also has a number of different units so that one can easily choose and play in the battle mode. The game has an endlessly rewarding system. The non-player character or NPC goblins provide the game a distinctive edge over other similar strategy games as others rely mostly on a combat mode that pits one player against another.

Pocket Gamer Review
Pocket Gamer (a website that focuses and reviews hand-held video-games) gave the game a score of 9 out of 10 and also gave the “Gold Award” to the game. The reviewer of the website, Peter Willington, praised the game for its real approach towards gaming and said that the game required real strategy making from a player to play and succeed. He wrote in his review that a player can progress to higher levels in the game by making more sophisticated units. A player can only do this by strategizing better. He further writes that the game requires the player to think deeply about the elements that he/she requires building the camp. He concludes that the game is superb in all its forms including the freemium form. It has a number of nuances and subtle attachment frameworks within it that have helped the game succeed over the period of time. In the year 2013 Supercell had only 2 games on the app store that include Hay Day and Clash of Clans on PC.
